FIFA 12&13 - FINESSE SHOT & NEAR POST OP

FIFA 12

After the fallout in the first year of The McPros, it took a while for the club to find its feet. Gus had left to join Jay's Pro Club and appearances from DC and Beaver were few and far between.

With the lack of competitiveness in the game mode, the appeal to play Pro Clubs was rapidly diminishing. Not even the over-powered nature of finesse shots could motivate Tony, Diabetic, and Corny to play consistently. It wasn't until FIFA 13 and the introduction of seasons for The McPros to finally find their form.

The introduction of seasons in Pro Clubs was a massive game-changer for The McPros. Finally matches against the opposition meant something other than maintaining a good record.

Lining up as a 4-1-4-1 with Tony McPro at centre-back, Andy Diabetic at defensive-midfield, and Corny up-front, The McPros surged from Division 10 to Division 2 with ease, playing a possession-based game. However, as the opposition became tougher, possession became harder to come by and Corny repeatedly got isolated up-top. Relegations and more promotions followed and it seemed the club was stagnating so they decided to make a big-name signing in the name of Tim.

With the help of Tim playing as an orthodox central-midfielder, The McPros were finally promoted to the top-flight and momentum was certainly on their side.

In the first season of Division 1, they found themselves having to win the final league game in order to win the league title. So up steps Tim with a first-half header from six-yards out to put The McPros into the lead and it wasn't until Corny with an over-powered near post shot squeezing past the keeper in the 89th minute which sealed a 2-0 win and the first league title for The McPros.
