Pro Clubs Friday Preview #2

Phew!! With only three weeks until the latest edition of FIFA is released, The McPros finally won the all-important Division 1 League Title last night.

After eight consecutive holds in Division 1, the team were starting to feel that it was never going to happen. However, The McPros managed to pull off some incredible form to win the title with an unbeaten record of 7-2-0. This form was in a sequence of eight wins in ten games and came completely out of the blue considering they lost the previous five games before.

The McPros started on a 1-1-0 record yesterday evening and had little optimism about the upcoming session. Nevertheless, the squad soldiered on and produced two consecutive wins before throwing away a 2-0 lead in a game with four set-piece goals to draw 2-2. The McPros then won the next three games relatively comfortably by an aggregate of 9-1 to set up a situation of only needing one win from the final two games to secure their first league title.

As you can imagine at this point, the squad were starting to believe they could do it and subsequently became nervous with TERRIERSJACK repeatedly stating that he could hardly breathe. Nevertheless, the rest of squad ignored these concerns and continued onto the next game. This game however was not going to be as easy as they would have liked.

Seven minutes in and the opposition scored early leaving a sour taste in the players mouths. A couple of chances for either side followed and the score remained at 1-0 when the half-time whistle blew. But when the second half began the unthinkable happened. Andy Diabetic decided it was a good time to disconnect and left the rest of the squad with one hell of a task. But if you thought that was bad, two minutes later the bot centre-back was dismissed for denying a goal-scoring opportunity leaving Tony McPro and TERRIERSJACK to play on with 10-men for the last forty minutes. They fought on however and in the 81st minute TERRIERSJACK shrugged off an opposition player (a twat that called himself Kante) and finessed the ball into the right-hand corner of the net to level the score at 1-1. Four minutes later and Andy Diabetic (now controlled by AI) passed it precisely to Tony McPro on the edge of the area who himself finessed the ball into the net, taking a slight deflection on the way. The 10-men of The McPros then saw out the remaining five minutes to finally seal their first league title of FIFA 18.

There were screams of joy at the final whistle and TERRIERSJACK even starting singing, "CHAMPIONES, CHAMPIONES, OLE OLE OLE".

This victory continued the impressive record of The McPros winning Division 1 every year since FIFA 13. This is particularly impressive considering they only started playing FIFA 18 six months ago. The McPros will now try to win the remaining two cups (The Continental Cup and Premier Cup) in order to complete their trophy cabinet.
